Looking back at the semester, my experience in IS101 - 3003/5 was unlike any other class I have taken. The course was both challenging and rewarding. It wasn't just about completing the MOS exams, but learning to carefully check my work, thoroughly reading directions and the importance of attention to detail. I enjoyed gaining practical skills that I can apply outside of the classroom and use throughout my future career.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Professor Wu is one of the best professors I've had. He constantly pushes his students to do their best while always making himself available whenever anyone needed help. His instructions and feedback were always clear, and he organized the class in a way that gave everyone the tools they needed to succeed. His dedication to both the course and his students is admirable. I also loved seeing how the class progresses throughout the semester, everyone became more comfortable participating, making jokes, laughing, which created a more engaging and enjoyable classroom environment.
For Discussion 6 Part 2, I chose 6.9.1 Animations. I chose this topic because it can make presentations more engaging and help important information stand out.
Hi Viviana, I really liked your PowerPoint presentation, especially the way you used images because it made your travels feel more personal and memorable instead of just reading information on slides. I also still remember you mentioning that you work at Walmart, and honestly I cannot imagine finishing a shift then coming to an 8 a.m. class afterward because I would probably already be mentally exhausted before the lecture even starts.
ReplyDeleteThat is why I think it is impressive that you are balancing work and school while still producing presentations that look polished and professional. IS101 already feels draining by itself sometimes, so managing all of that at once while keeping the quality of your work high deserves respect.
Hi Viviana, I completely agree that it was not only about passing the MOS exams, but also about learning patience, attention to detail, and actually understanding the work we were doing.
ReplyDeleteHi Viviana, this course was very different from all the other courses I've taken this school year as well. It was engaging and it felt like Prof. Wu was personal to each and everyone of us which was definitely a new education experience that I've never experienced until this course.
ReplyDeleteHey Viviana! I agree with you that Prof. Wu is amazing! This class was so worth it!
ReplyDeleteHi Viviana, having a professor who is supportive, clear, and always willing to help makes such a big difference in a class. It’s also nice how you mentioned the classroom environment improving over time, being able to feel comfortable, participate, and even joke around definitely makes learning more enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteYour presentation photos looks so interesting and it's making me hungry. Yes I agree that our professor really pushes us to our best in assignments and activities which honestly motivating. Wish you the best for the future and your next adventures in different countries and cities!
ReplyDeleteThis class truly was unique and professor Wu was definitely one of the main reasons for that. I'm glad we all are able to come away feeling accomplished moving on from this class.
ReplyDeleteHello Viviana! You're correct in how this class was both challenging and rewarding, we learned a lot and that's and that's what's important. I love exploring the animations available and playing around with the custom motion path option. Your slideshow looks so pretty, I want to travel more but it's never really been an option.
ReplyDeleteHi Viviana. You have a point when you say that this class requires attention to detail. This is important because even one small mistake can affect the accuracy of a document.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more about Prof Wu one of the best professor. This class itself was such a fun course. Its a shame i missed your presentation but I know you put so much love and effort into this.
ReplyDeleteHello Viviana. Professor Wu really was the best! You can tell he really wanted us students to succeed. Your presentation looks really good, I wish I was able to see it live!
ReplyDeleteHello Viviana, I loved your presentation because I love learning about other cultures and countries! I like that most of them were countries you have already been to, and you had pictures you took by yourself in the slides. You inspire me to start saving up and get to visit some countries haha :)
